Background
Sébastien Meunier was born in Versailles in 1974.He graduated from ESMOD, the Paris-based fashionschool, in 1997. The next year, he presented his firstcollection at the Festival international de mode et dephotographie [fr] in Hyères. The collection, that drewinspiration from fetichism and body transformations,the first fashion prize from the jurywas awardpresided by Martine Sitbon, Hussein Chalayan andJean Colonna - the later offering him immediately hisfirst position.
